Regional Convention

I attended the 39th Annual Regional Convention of the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines this morning. It is a 2 day convention so I still have to attend today. It’s so sad to think that I’ll be leaving my baby again for today:( I’ll be taking a 2 hour trip to the venue again.

This is the venue where our convention was held. I wasn’t able to take a nice picture of the venue. I just grabbed a photo from a fellow Filipino blogger.

My best friend didn’t come and I felt sad about it. I kinda miss her.  I’m happy that Odus came with me. He is just so proud of himself. Just look at him taking a selfie picture of himself.lol. Click here for the free crochet pattern of Odus.

I made a crocodile stitch purse for our convention and I’ll be sharing the pattern as soon as I can. That’s all I can share for now. I still have a convention to attend. So, bye for now…

Spring Inspired Tote Bag – Free Crochet Pattern

Here’s another free crochet pattern for you to work on. I have made a cute tote bag for myself. I really love nature and I thought of making a spring inspired bag. The colors also reflect nature. Brown is the earth. White signifies purity and innocence. Blue is the sky and the flower and the leaves signifies nature itself.

Crochet one for your love ones who loves nature like me. I’m pretty sure they’ll love it.

Heart Stitch Marker

I just made a cute heart stitch marker for my crochet projects. I really love crochet and cross stitch so  I thought of combining them in this project. You can also use this as a cellphone charm or a keychain or whatever you want it to. This is so easy to make so make yours too…
Supplies Needed:

Aida Cloth
Lace Yarn
1.3 mm steel hook
yarn cutter
cross stitch needle
lobster clasp

Here’s the pattern for the heart.

Make 2

Cut them as shown on the picture using a yarn cutter.

Join the two heart pieces and sew them together as shown here
Using a red yarn, Insert your hook to the white yarn that we used to sew the hearts together. (Chain 6, Insert hook into the 4th chain, yarn over, pull,
slip stitch into the next white yarn)* repeat 9 times. Slip stitch, fasten off. Weave ends.

Do the same thing on the other side of the heart. Insert a red yarn in the upper central part of the heart to the lobster clasp. Tie it up and you’re done.

By the way, guess what’s my next post. I’m done making the body, I just have to make the parts. Yeah right, I think you already know. It’s Odus again!, just a bigger one. I wanted to make a much more detailed version of him. I hope I can really pull this off. I’m so excited to share this project with you.

Crochet a Flappy Bird

Are you a Flappy Bird fan? How much do you hate this game? Well if you ask me, I really do hate this game. It’s the hardest game I’ve ever played. I never played Mario before and I really suck at playing platform games. RPG and action/adventure games are my kind of thing. Final Fantasy series, Harvest Moon, Grandia, Atellier Totori, Ni No Kuni, God of War and Uncharted series. Those are the games that I played before. I actually miss them just recalling it now.

Back to Flappy Bird. I really felt uneasy not to be able to reach even 5 points. That frustration lead me to the conclusion that I better crochet a Flappy Bird instead of playing the game:)

It actually worked! It turned out so cute and I actually felt good about it. I don’t hate him anymore. In fact I am loving him that much. Who would never love those red pouty lips right?lol.

Crochet a Flappy Bird for your friends. I’m sure they will love it too. Even though Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen pulled the game from the app stores, Flappy Bird will always remain in our hearts ♥♥♥

Crochet Sun Hat for My Bestfriend

crochet sunhat
Last Friday my best friend and I attended the Provincial General Assembly for Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines- Cebu Chapter together with our fellow Engineers.  It’s been a month since the last time I saw her so I decided to make a sun hat for her. She always works on field and a crochet sun hat would be a perfect gift for her.

She was so happy about it. She even wore it the next day at work. I’m glad that she likes it. Gifts made by hand surely strucks the hearts of those whom we give it. For us crocheters, it’s a great pleasure when someone appreciates our work. It encourages us to make even more projects.
