How to Crochet a Mini Sun Hat
Materials Needed:
size 10 crochet thead (3 colors of your choice)
scissors
1.6 mm hook
yarn needle
Gauge:
9 DC – 1″
Abbreviations:
SC= Single Crochet
DC= Double Crochet
Round 1: Magic Ring, Chain 2(acts as a DC), make 9 DC on the ring, slip stitch on 2nd chain (10 DC)
Round 2: Chain 2 (acts as a DC), DC on same stitch (DC Increase made), DC Increase in all the stitches around, slip stitch on 2nd Chain (20 DC)
Round 3: Chain 2 (acts as a DC), DC in all the stitches around, slip stitch on 2nd Chain (20 DC)
Change Color
Round 4: Chain 2; (acts as a DC), DC in all the stitches around, slip stitch on 2nd Chain (20 DC)
Change Color
Round 5: SC on the next stitch, in same stitch (Chain 2, 3 DC, Chain 2, SC), skip 1 stitch
[on next stitch (SC, Chain 2, 3 DC, Chain 2, SC), skip 1 stitch]* repeat around
Weave Ends. Use another yarn color for the ribbon.
