Bead Stitch Baby Blanket

bead stitch easy and quick crochet baby blanket pattern

Hello everyone and welcome back to Crafty Guild. Today I’m sharing a new free crochet pattern. I have a 3 month old baby and this time I made him another baby blanket. It’s an easy crochet pattern and it is only a 2 row repeat. If you like this free crochet pattern feel free to comment down below and follow me on my social media accounts.


Materials Needed:

2 balls of Lion Brand Mandala Yarn I used the color serpent

5.00 mm. crochet hook

pair of scissors

Finished blanket dimensions: 28″ x 28″

Gauge: 9 bead stitches = 4 inches, 5 rows of bead stitches with 5 rows of sc = 4 inches



Abbreviations:

Ch = Chain

SC = Single Crochet

DC = Double Crochet

sl st = slip stitch

sts = stitches

Bead Stitch – Dc in next stitch, work around the double crochet post you just made ( yarn over, pull up a loop)repeat for a total of 3 times, yarn over and pull through 6 loops on the hook, 2 loops left on the hook, yarn over and pull through the 2 loops on the hook


Free Crochet Pattern

Chain 120+1

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in all the stitches across, turn

Row 2: Ch 3, skip 1 stitch, ( bead stitch, skip 1 stitch ) repeat for a total of 39 times, dc in the last stitch of the row, turn

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in all the sts across, turn

Row 4-77: Repeat the pattern from row 2-3 until you reach row 77

For the boarder of the baby blanket i made a simple single crochet edging to it.
