I finally finished my son’s blanket just in time for Christmas. He has always been so excited with his blanket and it was supposed to be a birthday present for him. His birthday was last December 3 and I run out of yarn so I have to order online and I have to wait. It’s my first time making a crochet project this big and I was so happy with the result. Working on the corner to corner crochet was really fun. At first I had trouble figuring the stitch but once you get the hang of it I bet you just don’t want to stop. If you want to make one just follow the written pattern and I also provided the graph below.
Materials Needed:
Red Heart With Love True Blue – 4 skeins (blue)
Red Heart With Love Holly Berry – 2 skeins (red)
Red Heart With Love Daffodil – 1 skein (yellow)

pair of scissors
yarn needle
Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double chain
sl st – slip stitch
Gauge:
6 blocks = 5″
Finished Blanket Dimensions:
approximately 50″ x 50 ”

Hi Laura, thank you for the correction on the pattern. There was a typo error it should have been 11 red not 1 red. I already updated the post. Happy Crocheting 🙂

So glad I found an easier pattern to follow and you used the yarn I am going to go buy! I do have a question, did you do a border and if not, how can I make this bigger? My oldest son is 48 inches tall and he wants something longer than what he currently has (an old blanket made by a friend when he was a baby, finally outgrowing it). Thank you so much!!!

Hi Tarah I’ll try to make a written pattern for a twin, double and queen size blanket
Alright thank you !
Do I use the same pattern if I’m left handed?
Hi I’m new here. I’m getting confused with row 45. Do I count row 44’s last block as my first for row 45?
Hi there, please don’t count the last block as the first for row 45.
Is there a baby blanket version of the Superman crochet C2C available? Do you have suggestions to modify this one?
Hello. I SIMPLY LOVE THIS PATTERN!!! Is there anyway you can structure a “J” for me? Thanks in advance.
thanks for sharing this beautiful pattern. I volunteer with a charity that makes blankets for children with cancer and I have been looking for superheroe patterns. Yours is perfect.
Hi I know many people have asked how to make this blanket bigger I was curious also the same thing there was no answer on any of them so I did this I did treble crochet instead of her double and added an extra stitch at the end of the row where you do chain si and also added another treble crochet into the stitches so it ended up being four treble crochets and chain four it turned out wonderful fits a king size bed
Thank you for sharing this pattern…. I just finished mine and I’m happy with the results even tho I’m not a “pro” at changing colors. I enjoyed making it and the pattern was great and easy for me.
