Sweet Berry Crochet Scarf

Hello everyone and welcome back to Crafty Guild. Today I am going to show you how to crochet my sweet berry crochet scarf. I made this scarf for my friend who lives in Norway. She is on vacation right now here in the Philippines and we seldom see each other. I haven’t given her the scarf yet and I hope she will like it. I’m not sure if she likes the color purple. It’s my personal preference I like this color and I hope she’ll like it too. The yarn that I used for this crochet scarf is Red Heart Super Saver Ombre Yarn in Purple. If you want to use another yarn feel free to do so. You can use any worsted weight yarn for this crochet scarf pattern.

Materials Needed:

1 skein of red heart yarn ombre – purple

5.25 mm. crochet hook

pair of scissors

Abbreviations:

ch = chain

sc = single crochet

dc = double crochet

Finished Crochet Project Dimensions:

Approximately 6″ wide x 70″ long

Ch 26

The multiple of stitches is 12 + 2

Row 1: sc on 2nd ch from hook, *ch 3, skip 5 ch, into next ch work a 5 group of 1dc, (1 ch, 1dc)4 times, ch 3, skip 5ch, 1sc into next ch; repeat from*, turn

Row 2: Ch 3,2 dc in 1st stitch, *ch 1, skip 3 ch, 1 sc into next ch 1 space, (3ch, 1sc into next ch 1 space)repeat 3 times, ch 1, skip 3 ch*, work (2dc, 1ch, 2dc) into next sc, repeat from * to *, make 3 dc in the next stitch, turn

Row 3: Ch 3, 2 dc in 1st stitch, *ch 2, skip 1 ch, 1 sc into next ch 3 arch, (3ch, 1 sc into next ch 3 arch)2 times, ch 2, skip 1 ch * work (2dc, 1ch, 2dc) into next ch 1 space, repeat from * to *, make 3 dc in the next stitch, turn

Row 4: Ch 3, 2 dc in 1st stitch, *ch 3, skip 2 ch, 1 sc into next ch 3 arch, 3ch, 1sc into next ch 3 arch, ch 3, skip 2 ch*, work (2dc, 1ch, 2dc) into next ch 1 space, repeat from * to *, make 3 dc into next stitch, turn

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in 1st stitch, * ch 1, skip 3 ch, into next ch 3 arch work a 5 group of 1dc (1ch,1dc)4 times, ch 1, skip 3 ch*, sc in next ch 1 space, repeat from * to *, sc in next stitch, turn

Repeat row 2-5 until you reach row 140.

Row 141: Ch 1, sc in 1st st, ch 5, sc in next ch 3 arch, ch 5, sc in ch 1 space, ch 5, sc on ch 3 arch, ch 5, sc on last stitch, fasten off, weave ends.

Make a 5 inch tassel. Each tassel is composed of 4 stands of about 10 inch long yarn.
