I’ve been busy with another paperwork and I haven’t posted in a while. It’s time to relax after a stressful week and crocheting is quite a stress reliever. I made this simple yet beautiful pumpkin inspired coin purse yesterday and I’m sharing the pattern here. I hope you like how it turned out. Here’s the pattern:
#3 DK Weight: Light Worsted Weight Yarn (Orange and Green)
3.75 mm crochet hook
5 DC sts = 1″
Finished Item Dimensions:
diameter = 3.60”
SC = single crochet
DC = double crochet
inc. = increase (two stitches in same)
sl st = slip stitch
sts = stitches
Purse (Make 2)
Round 1: Magic Ring, Chain 2 (doesn’t count as a DC), make 10 DC in ring, sl st to first DC (10 sts)
Round 2: Chain 2, DC inc. in the next stitch, DC inc. in all stitch around, sl st to first stitch of the round (20 sts)
Round 3: Chain 2, ( DC inc. in the next stitch, DC in the next )* repeat around, sl st to the first stitch of the round (30 sts)
Round 4: Chain 2, ( DC inc. in the next stitch, DC in the next 2 stitches )* repeat around, sl st to the first stitch of the round (40 sts)
Don’t Fasten Off, Connect the two motifs by crocheting a 25 SC on the sides. Fasten Off.Weave ends.
Sew an orange zipper at the mouth of the purse.
Using Green Yarn Chain 18, make 3 SC stitches in each stitch around. Leave Tail for attaching to the zipper.
